Building the Foundation
Does your dog bark, lunge, growl, or become overwhelmed when they see other dogs while on leash?
Reactive Rovers Level One is designed to help you better understand your dog's reactivity and give you practical skills for managing it safely and successfully.
During this 4-week class, we'll focus on recognizing your dog's triggers and early signs of stress, understanding threshold and appropriate working distance, and teaching your dog alternative behaviors before a reaction occurs.
You'll learn skills such as attention and focus, Look At That (LAT), defensive walking, creating distance, emergency U-turns, and strategies for interrupting and recovering from reactions.
The goal isn't to force your dog to "get used to" other dogs. Instead, we'll teach you how to prevent reactions whenever possible, help your dog stay under threshold, and build better communication between you and your dog.
This class provides the foundation you'll need to begin changing how your dog responds to triggers while making walks and everyday situations more manageable.
Reactive Rovers Level One is where you learn to understand the reactivity - and give your dog better options.
Requirements: Dogs must be at least 7 months old, must not show aggression toward people, and must not have a history of biting another dog or being involved in a dog fight.
Class Details:
4-week series • $175
Meets once a week for 45–50 minutes
Up to two people may attend with each dog.

Level Two starts immediately after the Level One graduates. Level Two classes are only open to students who have completed our Level One Class.
