Field Trip Fridays: Real-World Dog Training Around Madison
Take your dog’s skills beyond the classroom! Field Trip Fridays is a fun, confidence-building 4-week class designed to help dogs generalize their training in real-world environments. Each week, we visit a new location around Dane County, indoors, outdoors, quiet, busy, and everything in between, to practice manners where they matter most.
This class is ideal for dogs with a solid foundation in basic manners who are ready for bigger challenges. We’ll strengthen leash walking, polite greetings, impulse control, and focus around distractions like people, noises, other dogs, and active environments. From strolling through shopping districts to relaxing inside pet-friendly businesses, you’ll learn how to keep your dog calm, responsive, and connected to you anywhere you go.
Field Trip Fridays builds real-life skills, boosts handler confidence, and teaches your dog that good behavior is always worth it—no matter the setting.
Pre-requisite: Completion of a basic manners class or instructor approval.
Class Details: 5-week series • $150 • Each class 50–60 minutes • Up to two people per dog
