Whether your dog is brand new to training, freshly adopted, or just needs a refresher, this class is the perfect place to start. Our Beginner Dog Training Class focuses on building clear communication, confidence, and good habits that make everyday life easier and more enjoyable for both you and your dog.
We’ll work through common challenges like pulling on leash, coming when called, and settling in the house, while teaching essential foundation skills such as Sit, Down, Come, attention to the handler, and polite manners around people and other dogs. Training is done using positive reinforcement methods that are easy to understand, effective, and fun for dogs and humans alike.
This class is especially great for rescue dogs or dogs who may have missed early training, as we take a thoughtful, supportive approach and meet each dog where they are. Dogs learn at their own pace in a low-pressure environment designed to build confidence and success.
This 5-week beginner training series is $150. Classes meet once a week for 45 minutes, and up to two people may attend. Ideal for dogs who are ready to learn the basics, rebuild skills, and start fresh with great habits and a strong training foundation. Classes held at Pet Supplies Plus in Monona.
