Why I’ve Stepped Away From Traditional Group Classes

In a traditional group class, dogs often spend a surprising amount of time simply waiting. While one dog is working, the others may be standing at the end of their leashes, watching the other dogs, becoming distracted, or struggling to stay engaged.

That’s not how I want my own dogs to behave when we’re out in the world - and it’s not what I want for yours.

I want your dog to learn that you are the most interesting and rewarding part of the environment. I want your relationship to be engaging, interactive, and connected, whether you’re walking through your neighborhood, visiting a park, or sitting at an outdoor café.

Private training allows us to spend our time actively working with your dog, focusing on the behaviors you actually need in everyday life. Instead of teaching your dog how to behave in a training class, we can teach them how to behave in the real world.

Because ultimately, the goal isn’t a dog who is good in class.

It’s a dog who is great at life with you.
