Discover Cool Ways to Beat the Heat with Your Furry Friend This Summer

Dive into a Pool Party Forget just for tiny humans – set up a plastic kiddie pool filled with cold water for your dog to enjoy on scorching days. Ensure it's sturdy enough to handle playful paws and teeth without damage.

The Heat Test:
Five-Second Check Before heading out with your dog, use the five-second rule: press the back of your hand onto the pavement for five seconds. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for your dog. Opt for grassy areas or cooler times like early mornings and evenings.

Treat with Frosty Pops Spoil your dog with homemade frozen bone broth pops. Mix beef bone broth with peanut butter, freeze in an ice cube tray, and serve for a refreshing summer treat.

Soothe Bee Stings
If your dog gets stung, calmly remove the stinger with a piece of rigid plastic and apply a baking soda paste (baking soda mixed with water) to alleviate discomfort. Contact your vet if swelling is significant or for advice on using medications like Benadryl.

Stylish and Cool
: Fashion Meets Function Elevate your dog's style and comfort by soaking a neckerchief in cold water, freezing it for 20 minutes, and tying it around their neck. It's a fashionable way to keep them cool during hot days.

Recognize Heat Stroke Signs
Stay alert for signs of heat stroke such as lethargy, confusion, excessive panting, and a bright red tongue. Act promptly by cooling your dog down and seeking immediate veterinary care if symptoms persist.
Enjoy the summer safely with these tips to ensure your dog stays happy and healthy in the heat!
